What you need to know...

Booking a professional photography session of any kind can be intimidating and overwhelming. You're making a big investment and I recognize that! Not every photographer is for every client. I like to be upfront and honest. This is where the relationship factors in.  I schedule inquiry meetings so that we can meet prior to getting your session on the books. That way you have all of the answers and you get to know the person capturing your biggest life moments! I never book a session simply to book a session.

The next steps.

  1. You're ready to schedule an inquiry meeting! We will do this via phone call, zoom chat or schedule an in-studio meeting. There is no charge for this. You'll get to ask questions and we will find out if I am the photographer for you! This is an investment in more than just pictures.

  2. If you are ready to book, there is a 50% non-refundable retainer fee and we will cover your session contract. This fee will get your session on the schedule and we get to start planning your unique session details. This part requires communication and planning but no worries, I will be there through the entire process.

  3. Between booking day and your session day, we will keep in touch. From outfit planning to session location, we will work together so that your session is perfect!

  4. SESSION DAY ARRIVES! This is the best part. Take a breath, we've got this.

  5. We can meet to order customized prints. This is such a fun part!  You get to see the artwork we've created and I will guide you through selecting your favorite prints, frames, gifts, and more. Payment for your prints is due at the time of ordering.

  6. The last part is my absolute favorite! When your print order arrives, I will look over each piece to ensure nothing but high-quality and satisfaction to my highest standards. We then will get to open your ordered pieces together and finally, your gorgeous, timeless artwork is ready to adorn your home. While I adore each part, this part in my client's story is the best. There is nothing better than captured memories in print!

FAQ

Once you book, we will cover your session prep guide in full but here are some quick FAQs to give you a bit of insight to a session with me!

How far in advance should I book?

  • That depends on the session type you are looking to book and if your session will take place in studio or outdoors. Most sessions need to be booked 2-4 weeks in advance as I only take on so many sessions per month. Several students prefer to book a package option that allows for a session in the fall and a session in the spring, right before graduation!

Why do I need to book so far in advance?

  • Again, this is a big investment. From initial inquiry to booking to session planning, it takes time to build not only a relationship but a session as unique as you are!

What do I need to do to book?

  • To book, clients must pay a 50% non-refundable retainer to get your session on the books (this fee is non-refundable and reserves your date and time as well as consultation services). A contract must also be signed.

What do I wear?

  • Along with location, weather, and lighting, outfits are an important part of your session. The right color scheme makes all the difference. My session prep guide will make things effortless!

What locations are available to me?

  • There are SO MANY picturesque spaces in Columbia and surrounding areas. I am always excited to offer location ideas as well as hear your ideas in order to create the perfect session  environment.

What session types do you offer?

  • I exclusively plan and photograph student portrait sessions. This means you get a professional who is quite proficient in the genre. I know all the unique locations and I LOVE the challenge of capturing your true self. Want to include your hobbies, pets or sports in your session? PLEASE DO.

Do you offer packages?

  • I do! Collections begin at $250.00 and total cost all depends on what print products each client selects from their unique gallery. You do not have to order additional print products.

Do you offer payment plans?

  • I do! After the initial 50% non-refundable retainer fee has been paid, remaining balances can be paid as part of a payment plan. Sessions will not take place until balances have been paid in full. Ordered prints and print products may also be purchased through a payment plan but will not be ordered until balances have been paid in full.
